The Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce Higher Education Leadership Council is designed to encourage collaboration between the local business community and higher education. The Council also provides the schools with promotional opportunities, as well as high level connections with community leaders and other Chamber partners.

Recognizing the role of education in a changing economy, the overriding goal of the Council is to promote and advocate for education initiatives in the wider community by working to influence the local culture in a way that makes education a top-of-mind issue.

The inaugural members of the Council include Cape Cod Community College, Massasoit Community College and Quincy College. Each of these institutions has demonstrated a commitment to the Plymouth area by offering degree courses and certificate programs to local residents at locations throughout the community.
