The Chamber partners with a variety of business professionals to present seminars, forums and training. They are focused toward the needs of our Members and the business community. Increasing the bottom line for member businesses is always the primary motivation behind our trainings. All seminars are either free, or offered at a reduced cost to Chamber Members.

Workshops & Seminars
First Saturday
The primary goal of this initiative is to strengthen and grow the local economy by encouraging households, businesses and organizations to shift their current spending to merchants within our local economy and support local business. This will in turn, support the community, downtown businesses, reduce environmental impact, create more local jobs, taxes and improve the local prosperity. This thrust created a great cohesiveness with the downtown businesses who started the First Saturday events. First Saturday is a special event held in downtown Plymouth on the first Saturday of each month, to encourage the community to shop local, enjoy specials, events and entertainment on that day. The Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce helps support these great efforts of the First Saturday Members.

Plymouth Bay Cultural District
Located in the thriving Downtown and Waterfront Districts of Plymouth, the Plymouth Bay Cultural District is the Town’s epicenter of arts and cultural experiences, outdoor activities, shopping, dining, history and 100+ cultural assets that enlighten and entertain visitors and locals year round. The most important element to the PBCD is bringing organizations and people together to celebrate, teach, share and enjoy the many things that bring life and color to Plymouth. The Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce has a partnership agreement which supports our Plymouth Bay Cultural District and their mission to celebrate the cultural heritage and arts. The partnership is to foster economic growth of the district by the promotion of our cultural assets and to assist in carrying out its mission and purpose. As Plymouth approaches its 400th anniversary in 2020, this district is preparing a diverse slate of events and programs for domestic and international visitors as this historic commemoration unfolds.
