To foster regional entrepreneurship through supportive programs which embrace innovative ideas and concepts resulting in employment opportunities regionally, while also providing the small business programing necessary to support our existing small business establishments.
What We Do
The Business Education Center provides one on one counseling for small business owners with existing businesses or assistance for budding entrepreneurs with dreams of small business ownership. We offer group small business workshops and programs that can help any type of business or organization.
Many of these programs are free of charge.
Our professional development workshops in partnership with local colleges and state and local agencies cover the latest cutting edge topics.

Small Business services at the Plymouth Area Chamber are delivered in various formats and by multiple agencies and partners. The Business Education Center partners with local, state and federal agencies as well as with higher education facilities and industry professionals. All of our counselors and presenters are seasoned professionals who have years of experience in the public and private sectors dealing with small business issues.
Whatever your small business need, we have the right person to assist or the program for your business needs. For the most part, many of our services and programs are delivered FREE OF CHARGE. Only a certain number of continuing education and corporate education programs are held for a slight fee. FREE Small Business counseling is offered each week by our partners at SCORE (the Service Core of Retired Executives) and MSBDC (the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network). The Business/Education Center has a close relationship with local higher education facilities that provide certificate and non certificate programming for your small business needs. Many of these programs are conveniently held right at our Business/Education Center classrooms.
The Business/Education Center programs are partially funded by the Commonwealths Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. In addition to that we have strategic partnerships with many state agencies which facilitate programs on all aspects of development from housing to commercial tax incentives.
